The fall gourd is a 6" kettle gourd and was selected for it's shape and natural, beautiful colors. After the gourd was sanded, a light brown stain was applied, and the gourd was sprayed with a sealer. The tendrills were wound around the gourd and the leaves were cut from another gourd and glued on top of palm bark.

The dried gourd vine tendrills were wrapped around the gourd to retain the natural look of the autumn gourd vine in the garden.

The leaves were painted and sealed. Next the leaves (mounted on the palm bark), were glued to the gourd for a fall look.
